Scoring a T20I century is always a big achievement because of the pace it requires to score, and doing that at a young age makes it even more special.

In this article, we will talk about the top 5 youngest Indian batters to score a T20I century.

5. KL Rahul | 24y 131d

KL Rahul scored his first T20I century when he was 24 years and 131 days old. The right-hander achieved this feat against the West Indies at Lauderhill, Florida, in 2016.

The West Indies, batting first, posted a huge total of 245/6, with Evin Lewis scoring a 49-ball century.

India, in the run chase, lost the wickets of Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli early in the innings. When KL Rahul came out to bat, India were required to score 197 runs from 92 balls.

Rahul stitched a partnership with Rohit Sharma and took Sunil Narine to the cleaners. He completed his half-century from 27 balls and took only 18 more balls to complete the century, reaching the milestone by hitting a six off Andre Russell.

Rahul remained not out at 110 runs from 51 balls although India lost the match by just a single run.

4. Abhishek Sharma | 23y 307d

Abhishek Sharma, at the age of 23 years and 307 days, playing his just second T20I, smashed a hundred from 46 balls, a knock consisting of 8 sixes. He smashed 3 consecutive sixes to Wellington Masakadza to complete the century.

India were facing Zimbabwe in Harare and had lost the wicket of captain Shubman Gill at the score of 10, which was followed by a partnership of 137 runs between Abhishek Sharma and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Abhishek reached his fifty from 33 balls and took only 13 more balls to complete his century. Abhishek was dismissed for 100 runs, and India won the match by the exact margin of 100 runs.

The left-hander came out to bat in the first over itself, as India lost the wicket to Murali Vijay on the second ball of the match. Raina started cautiously, playing run a ball before shifting gears.

He took the charge against Albie Morkel and Rory Kleinveldt, completing his hundred from 60 balls with the help of 9 fours and 5 sixes. India won the match by 14 runs.
