Indian Cricket Team Schedule for 2024-25 Home Season

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the revised schedule for the Indian men’s cricket team’s 2024-25 home season.

It is going to be a jam-packed season for the Men in Blue as they play 16 games across Test, ODI, and T20I formats. The upcoming home season promises to bring exciting cricketing action as India hosts Bangladesh, New Zealand, and England.

India’s 2024-25 home season will get underway in mid-September as Bangladesh arrive for 2 Tests and 3 T20Is. 

The series against Bangladesh will commence on September 19, with Chennai hosting the first Test, followed by the second Test on September 27 in Kanpur. The attention will then shift towards the 3-match T20I series, with Gwalior (Oct 6), Delhi (Oct 9), and Hyderabad (Oct 12) hosting the games.

New Zealand Tour of India 2024

Four days after the Bangladesh series, India will be up against New Zealand for the 3-match Test series. Bengaluru will host the first Test starting on October 16, with Pune (Oct 24-28) and Mumbai (Nov 1-5) staging the second and third Tests, respectively.

England Tour of India 2025

Once the Border-Gavaskar Trophy concludes in Australia, the Indian men will face England in a limited-overs series at home.

Both teams will first lock horns in the 5-match T20I series, which gets underway in Kolkata on January 22, 2025. Chennai (Jan 25), Rajkot (Jan 28), Pune (Jan 31), and Mumbai (Feb 2) are slated to host the next 4 games, respectively.

The action then shifts to Nagpur (Feb 6) which will kick off the 3-match ODI series in the leadup to the 2025 Champions Trophy. Cuttack will stage the second ODI on Feb 9, while the third ODI in Ahmedabad on February 12 will draw curtains on India’s home season 2024-25.
