Upcoming ICC Tournaments from 2025 to 2031

The ICC events are the showstoppers in the international cricket calendar. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has a long list of tournaments to organise in the upcoming years.

Here’s a sneak peek at the upcoming ICC tournaments from 2025 to 2031.

Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup 2025

2025 will start with the second edition of the Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup. The youth tournament will get underway on January 18, 2025, in Malaysia.

India won the inaugural edition held in South Africa in 2023. Like the first edition, 16 teams will be in contention to claim the trophy.

Men’s Champions Trophy 2025

2025 marks the comeback of the Champions Trophy, a 50-over competition. It was last played in 2017, with Pakistan emerging as the winner.

The defending champions will host the Champions Trophy in February 2025, with 9 other participating teams.

World Test Championship Final 2025

England will host the final of the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle on the trot. This time, Lord’s Cricket Ground will stage the epic clash between June 11 and 15.

Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025

After delivering a memorable Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023, India will host the women’s version in 2025. The Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 will be staged in October and November.

Men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026

The Men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup will be back again in 2026. 2 African nations, Zimbabwe and Namibia, will co-host the 16th edition of the tournament in January 2026.

Women’s T20 World Cup 2026

England will host the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. The 10th edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup will take place in June 2026.

Men’s T20 World Cup 2026

The Men’s T20 World Cup will follow soon, with India and Sri Lanka sharing the hosting duties. The 10th edition will be contested in October and November 2026.

Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup 2027

The third edition of the Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup will take place in January 2025. Bangladesh will co-host the competition with Nepal, which will be staging its first ICC event.

Women’s T20 Champions Trophy 2027

Unlike the Men’s Champions Trophy, the ICC will organise a T20 version for women’s teams. The inaugural Women’s T20 Champions Trophy will be played in February 2027, with Sri Lanka hosting the event.

World Test Championship Final 2027

England will stage the World Test Championship Final for the fourth consecutive time in 2027. The one-off Test will take place in June 2027.

Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027

The pinnacle of the ICC events, the Men’s ODI World Cup, will return in 2027. The 50-over tournament will also return to the African continent after the 2003 edition. South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia will co-host the Men’s ODI World Cup 2027 in October and November.

Men’s T20 World Cup 2028

The Men’s T20 World Cup will be back in Australia in 2028, with New Zealand also stepping in as co-hosts. The 11th edition of the competition will take place in October 2028.

Men’s Champions Trophy 2029

After the revival of the Champions Trophy in 2025, India will host the white-ball event in October 2029. India last hosted the Champions Trophy in 2006.

Men’s T20 World Cup 2030

England will welcome the Men’s T20 World Cup in June 2030. They will share the hosting duties with neighbouring Ireland and Scotland, with both co-hosting the T20 World Cup for the first time.

Men’s Cricket World Cup 2031

The Men’s Cricket World Cup will be back in the Indian subcontinent. India and Bangladesh will co-host the ODI event in October and November 2025.
