5. Australia | 263/3 vs Sri Lanka, 2016
Australia scored 263/3 runs in their 20 overs against Sri Lanka in 2016 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
Australia had rested both Aaron Finch and Steve Smith. David Warner led the team and Glenn Maxwell was given the opportunity to open the innings with him.

Nepal holds the record for scoring the highest team total in T20I cricket. Nepal scored 314/3 runs against Mongolia in Hangzhou in the 2023 Asian Games.
Kushal Malla scored 137 runs from 50 balls, smashing 12 sixes. Captain Rohit Paudel scored 61 runs from 27 balls with 6 sixes and Dipendra Singh scored 52 * runs from just 10 balls, making it the fastest T20I fifty.
Nepal won the match by a huge margin of 273 runs as Mongolia managed to score only 41 runs Sandeep Lamichhane, Abinash Bohara and Karan KC picked up 2 wickets each for Nepal.
