10. Shubman Gill (India) | 208 vs NZ, 2023

Shubman Gill scored 208 runs from 149 balls against New Zealand at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, in 2023. India, batting first, posted 349/8 runs in 50 overs.

Shubman Gill scored 208 runs, while no other batter crossed the 35-run mark. The right-handed opener started his innings conservatively and started hitting boundaries after the first 10 overs.

Gill reached his century in the 29th over, and for his double century, he smashed 3 consecutive sixes to Lockie Ferguson. Shipley took the wicket of Gill in the last over of the innings.

9. Rohit Sharma (India) | 208* vs SL, 2017

Indian captain Rohit Sharma scored 208* runs from 153 balls against Sri Lanka in 2017 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. India batted first and scored 392/4 runs in 50 overs.

Rohit smashed 24 runs in the 44th over against Lakmal, smashed 2 more sixes in the 45th over against Nuwan and reached 150 runs. Rohit reached 200 in the last over of the innings, smashing Thisara Perera for 17 runs.

Rohit Sharma in 2013 scored his first out of 3 ODI double-hundreds. Playing against Australia at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Rohit scored 209 runs from 156 deliveries, which involved 16 sixes and 12 fours.

The right-handed opener completed his century in 114 balls. He sent spinner’s balls to the stand many times, and in the last over, Rohit brought up his double hundred. He was finally dismissed for 209 runs.

7. Ishan Kishan (India) | 210 vs BAN, 2022

Ishan Kishan scored 210 runs from 131 balls against Bangladesh in 2022. India, batting first, scored 409/8 in 50 overs.

Pathum Nissanka became the first Sri Lankan batter to score a double hundred. He scored 210* runs from 139 balls against Afghanistan at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele.

Sri Lanka, batting first, posted a total of 381/3 runs in 50 overs. The right-handed opener completed his double century in the last over of the innings by smashing Fareed Ahmed for a boundary.

Nissanka scored his first 100 runs from 88 balls. Then he took only 48 balls more to complete his double hundred.

5. Fakhar Zaman (Pakistan) | 210* vs ZIM, 2018

Fakhar Zaman is the only Pakistani batter with a double hundred in One-Day Internationals. He scored 210* runs from 156 balls against Zimbabwe in 2018.

Pakistan, batting first, scored 399/1 runs in their 50 overs. Imam-ul-Haq scored a century, and Asif Ali smashed 50* runs from 22 balls. But it was Zaman who took Pakistan’s score close to 400.

He scored his century in 92 balls and completed his double century by hitting a boundary on the 148th ball that he faced. Zaman hit Wellington Masakadza and Blessing Muzarabani for plenty of runs.

4. Chris Gayle (West Indies) | 215 vs ZIM, 2015

Former West Indies opener Chris Gayle scored 215 runs from 146 balls against Zimbabwe in match 15 of the Cricket World Cup 2015. He became the first batter to score a double hundred in the World Cup.

Chris Gayle’s knock included 16 sixes and 10 fours. He scored his first 100 runs from 105 balls and completed the other from just 33 balls.

He took on Tafadzwa Kamungozi and Sean Williams after his century. The West Indies posted 372/2 runs on the board, winning the match by 73 runs through DLS.

3. Virender Sehwag (India) | 219 vs WI, 2011

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag scored 219 runs from 149 balls against the West Indies in 2011. He was also leading the team in the match.

The aggressive opener attacked Kemar Roach and Ravi Rampaul in the first powerplay before taking on Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard. Sehwag completed his century from 69 balls and reached the double hundred in 140 balls.

2. Martin Guptill (New Zealand) | 237* vs WI, 2015

Martin Guptill scored 237* runs from 163 balls against the West Indies in the fourth quarterfinal of the 2015 Cricket World Cup.

Guptill completed his hundred in 111 balls without hitting a single six, but after his hundred, he went on to smash 8 sixes and took only 41 balls to complete his next hundred runs. Guptill ended the innings by hitting 3 more sixes against Andre Russell.

New Zealand scored 393/6 runs in their 50 overs, and they won the match by 143 runs.

1. Rohit Sharma (India) | 264 vs SL, 2014

Rohit Sharma registered the highest ODI score in 2014 against Sri Lanka at the Eden Garden, Kolkata, by scoring 264 runs from 133 balls. India, batting first, posted 404/5 runs on the board.

Rohit Sharma accelerated his innings very well because at one point he was at 50* off 72 balls. Then he completed his ton from 100 balls.

Rohit then took on Mendis and Perera post his hundred, reaching the double ton in 151 balls and taking 13 more balls to reach 250 runs. Rohit was dismissed on the last ball of the innings.

India won the match by 153 runs, with Dhawal Kulkarni picking up 4 wickets and Axar Patel picking up 2 wickets.
